What is Non-uniform circular motion

[edit]

When a fan is switched ON or OFF, the speed of a particals of a fan go on increasing or decreasing for some time, however their directions are tangential to their circular trajectories. During this time, it is non-uniform circular motion. Rohan Gajbhiye (talk) 02:04, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that this thing was a dream. There is a | wikiversity.org School:Physics_and_Astronomy. Maybe that should be linked instead? Or not, but the dead link does no one good. Johnjbarton (talk) 00:58, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the "/Tabs" template, which takes the non-existent textbook out. It also removes a link to Portal:Physics/WikiProjects and things to do which is very repetitive. Johnjbarton (talk) 19:21, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I ask you, to take a look to this discussion in German Wiki. The problem ist this sentence: „The aircraft is slowed by the loss of energy required to crush the EMAS material.“ The translation into German means something like: „The loss of Energy is needed to crush the EMAS material.“ But maybe it means the right in English. The same mistake exists also in Wiki:nl and Wiki:pt. I‘m sorry, because my English is not so good. Thanks for help and correcting if it’s necessary. LegoFCB (talk) 20:07, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@LegoFCB I rewrote it as
  • As the aircraft crushes the EMAS material, it loses energy and slows down.
(Generally it is best to ask on the Talk page for the article first (Talk:Engineered materials arrestor system) or on WT:Physics otherwise. This Talk page is just about the Portal page.)
I don't know what the translation would be but maybe this version is easier. Johnjbarton (talk) 20:47, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Johnjbarton, thanks for briefing me and that you changed the description in the article. I think, your sentence is much better as the old version. Have a good time. LegoFCB (talk) 01:06, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
